Prescription fee information

What is refundable and what non-refundable?

According to § 139 SGB V, the umbrella organisation of the health insurance scheme prepares a systematically structured directory of auxiliary aids. According to this, all aids are split into different product groups and given an item number, meaning that our products can be categorised as follows:

Item No. 05.07.02.0004
Prescription fee € 5 - 10

Refundable product from a product group which is already approved.

Item No. 05.04.01.2xxx
Prescription fee € 5 - 10

Refundable product according to existing quality standards whose product group has not yet been updated.

Item No. 23.07.02.2007
(formerly: 05.07.02.2035)
Prescription fee € 5 - 10

Refundable product according to existing quality standards which was transferred from PG 05 to PG 23.

Prescription tips

According to the GKV-WSG and the GKV-OrgWG, the following remains valid for the prescription of aids:

  • No budgeting
  • No benchmarks
  • 10% prescription fee for the patient, minimum € 5, maximum € 10

How to prescribe

Our recommendation:
If needed, write the article number, item number, article description and precise diagnosis on your prescription. This ensures that your patients receive exactly the product prescribed by you.
