Flat knit medical compression stockings in compression classes CCL 1, 2 and 3 are a fundamental component for conservative basic therapy and provide complex physical relief. At the same time, treatment with compression stockings can provide an important contribution to therapeutic success. This largely depends on interdisciplinary collaboration between the physician, lymph drainage therapist, medical store and patient.¹

It is not always possible to make rigid assignments of compression classes to the indication position of the various forms of a lymphoedema or lipoedema because individual patient factors also play a decisive role in the acceptance of treatment with medical compression stockings.
